Like...prosthetic arms, poseable figurines, torture devices, some sort of giant mobile suit you could fight in, a machine that could shoot a bunch of wooden projectiles at you rapid-fire...things like that.
I got these two large logs, and tied them together with a rope. That way you can swing them around on the rope and hit the enemy with them. [A pause.] Normally they aren't log-sized though.
Wrist-thick... [ He repeats, and-- let him look at your wrist, Wenshan...!! ]
You have...nice-sized wrists. That's a normal-looking wrist.
[ ...
... let him hold up and show Chu Wenshan his wrist! On the side where he isn't carrying anything, His own wrist is rather thin...green.... very green... ]
[He tilts his head, expressionless but clearly questioning.]
I wouldn't recommend trying to cool yourself off with it, you might hit yourself. If you want to see what it looks like in use... [......] If I get my hands on one I can show you a bit.
[This misunderstanding....does not get noticed at all. He linefaces!
He has been linefacing this whole time so that was a redundant statement.]
Bigger isn't always better...it can definitely be intimidating to an average opponent, though. Is that what you usually use? [His gaze turns to Gorgug's skinny arms for definitely not the first time...]
Hitting boulders could be good. Where I'm from they usually go for trees or wooden targets, but if you're strong enough... destroying boulders would hurt less plant life, for sure.
Did you have a good forest around? Some of the other classes used the woods, so, like, I think it was easier, somehow? To bring giant boulders into a classroom.
Mn, many parts of China are full of forests and mountains. Very steep, forested mountains. So it was probably easier to make wooden targets than to find boulders, when you put it that way...
...Are there good boulders to use around here? Or a training facility maybe.
I don't know... there's been posts about people offering training, but I don't know where they were, or if they're still around? I haven't looked for any boulders. [ Well. ] There are mountains.
[ And they're adult boulders, so there has to be boulders around, maybe? ]

[Definitely should've thought bigger.]

I want to see a giant mobile suit made out of wood. How big are we talking?
no subject
About...two, three times my height? I remember making a nunchaku on the spot to fight it with.
[Like so.]
no subject
How well did the nunchaku work? [ ... ] And what's a nunchaku?
no subject
[And hmm, how to describe nunchaku...]

What size are they? Smaller? Thinner?
[ maybe thinner? ]

[He'd be doing gestures, but his hands are full.]

Maybe somewhere between both our wrist sizes.
[That seems good, right? A nice average number? He hasn't seen a proper nunchaku in a while actually.]
Are you interested in trying one?
no subject
...does it feel cool when you use it? ... does it look cool?
[ Very important question. ]

I wouldn't recommend trying to cool yourself off with it, you might hit yourself. If you want to see what it looks like in use... [......] If I get my hands on one I can show you a bit.
no subject
Okay. [ ... ] You can look cool pretty easy with an axe. You just hold an axe. It's cool-- because it has a big blade.
[ See how easy it is to be cool with an axe, Chu Wenshan?? ]

no subject
Yeah. It's big-- all my axes are big. And better. I hit things real hard.
[ And for this he sounds very proud! He'll even mimic holding an axe with two hands (while minding his bag of ribs): ]
Wind it back-- [ He's winding back that invisible axe...! ] --and slam!
[ And he's swinging it forward!! ]
no subject
Hitting hard is good. How hard can you hit with your fists? Training your fistwork could help increase your axe power.
[For an even bigger slam!!!]
no subject
Our teacher used to make us hit boulders with our weapons and our fists. But I haven't done it in a long time. Not since I got here.
[ He hasn't been looking for boulders!! ]

You could ask-- on the network?
no subject
If there's mountains, there should be boulders...there's probably a few around Leafless Valley, actually, I just haven't thought to look.

[ Does Chu Wenshan have hobbies! ]
no subject
Training, chores, exploring...I found an island full of snakes the other day. They're pretty tasty.
[Maybe he needs a new hobby?]
no subject
[ Is that a hobby? People do that?? ]
no subject
[And if snakes attack...!]
