I'm not much of a poetry person...I don't mind listening though, if he wants to read to someone.

But you learned more fighting than people do, who don't go to adventuring school. There's some clubs in normal schools, but no one learns that at home unless their family has something to do with fighting. I think.

Mn, since my family ran a prominent martial sect, everyone there knew how to fight. Probably. A normal villager wouldn't need to know these things.

Yeah, that's-- that's how things are where I'm from, too. Most people wouldn't know how to fight, unless it's in their family. They work office jobs or working in towns or cities. [ ... ] But we have villagers, too. Really rural areas. With fields and farms?

I've probably seen more fields than cities...somehow our valley appeared here too, and that also has some small fields in it.

[Or maybe those are just gardens? Vegetable patches?]

They didn't go to the school I go to, but they can-- they can kick ass. They're tinkerers, so, they build weapons. They can make bombs--you know what bombs are.

[ Though he doesn't phrase it as a question, he does look at Chu Wenshan as, yes, no? Do people who don't know what cars are know what bombs are? ]

They must be talented then. I don't personally know anyone who makes bombs, though I did meet a man who could make all sorts of things out of wood.

Like...prosthetic arms, poseable figurines, torture devices, some sort of giant mobile suit you could fight in, a machine that could shoot a bunch of wooden projectiles at you rapid-fire...things like that.

About...two, three times my height? I remember making a nunchaku on the spot to fight it with.

They worked alright for a while.

I got these two large logs, and tied them together with a rope. That way you can swing them around on the rope and hit the enemy with them. [A pause.] Normally they aren't log-sized though.

[ A log can be pretty small, right? Though, most people wouldn't lunge around anything log-shaped either. ]

What size are they? Smaller? Thinner?

Mn, a normal one would definitely be smaller. Like...wrist-thick, maybe.

I wouldn't recommend trying to cool yourself off with it, you might hit yourself. If you want to see what it looks like in use... [......] If I get my hands on one I can show you a bit.

Okay. [ ... ] You can look cool pretty easy with an axe. You just hold an axe. It's cool-- because it has a big blade.

Bigger isn't always better...it can definitely be intimidating to an average opponent, though. Is that what you usually use? [His gaze turns to Gorgug's skinny arms for definitely not the first time...]
