[ You're walking in the woods.

Or, scratch that: You're walking somewhere in Etraya. To somewhere, possibly, like Kwik Trip or one of the cafes, or how about Bangsan Market? Etraya isn't empty of people, but the foot traffic is light, especially with the light snow covering around. There's nothing particularly suspicious around. And even if there was, would Chu Wenshan notice?

There just happens to be a person with his head down, some strange circular things over where his ears would be, dressed in a jacket and jeans.... and he's light-skinned. Definitely not a half-orc, as if that's anything anyone should pay attention for!!

But maybe Chu Wenshan should be paying attention in the world. Will he get lucky, and notice when this one particular person a ways away from him happens to take their hand out, and calls down a bolt of very small lightning to come down and zap him on his head? It's a weak one, again, we promise. Maybe comedy will save Chu Wenshan from his fate of bad hair.

[Chu Wenshan was absolutely on the way to Bangsan Market on some errand or other, and also maybe for snacks. The lack of any real action recently, plus the lack of green-skinned people in his field of view, definitely leaves him with his guard down...and so it is that a guy with a suddenly-sparky hairstyle looks around with a look of vague confusion on his face, having barely felt the zap itself.]

[ Ha!!! He got him, he got him!!!!

Did this strange guy that is definitely not Gorgug do a fist pump to himself? Yes. And now he's fiddling with the device he's got on his wrist to change his features...back to Gorgug Thistlespring!!! SIKE. It was him all along!!

Do you see him, Chu Wenshan. Are you looking his way. He needs to do the devil horns with his hands to show how cool he is. Please look at him. ]

[He sees!!! It's hard to miss the guy doing weird motions with his hands when the rest of the scant passersby are walking normally, like normal people. Missed the part where he changed his appearance, though...

Chu Wenshan attempts to copy the devil horn pose in response, because he has no idea what that means.]

How were you hiding? [He asks, loudly, without actually trying to get closer.]

In plain sight!

[ He is answering back loudly, also without moving, because that's what they're doing here. Talking over a distance. Also, good devil horns, Chu Wenshan. ]

Do you feel okay? You don't feel funny?

[ Since Gorgug did zap him... even if he did so lightly! Also, he's still asking very loudly. And not moving. ]

[This is a perfectly normal way to communicate!!]

I felt a little tingly?

[He pauses to feel at his hair, which is still staticky.]

[ begone, opposite Chu Wenshan!!! Because Gorgug has permission and he's going to walk on over.

Hi. [ Hi, Chu Wenshan. ] I thought I could get the sneak on you so you wouldn't think to dodge, but I don't know if that was fair. You're still new to dodging electricity.

Hello. [Aw, Gorgug's so polite. He nods, as expressionless as ever.] It's fine. It just means I need more training.

[Though does he really need to learn how to dodge electricity? ...No idea, but hey, the upped awareness might help prevent more krampusnappings.]

You're pretty good at disguises.

Not really... it's just something I made a while ago. It's a prototype. I've never worn it before. [ He raises his wrist, looking at it, but isn't intentionally trying to show anything off. And there isn't much to be seen with his jacket arm hiding most of his skin, but there does seem to be a bracelet there, of leather and metal. ]

My friend's better at it. She can really get into character. [ Gorgug pauses for a second after saying that, refocusing on Chu Wenshan. ] By the way, can I talk to you about something? We can keep walking. And you can get whatever you were going to get.

It works very well. You're a good craftsman. [Not that Chu Wenshan can recognize faces anyway...and yet he's so sincere in saying it.

This is followed by a blink and a nod.]

Okay. What did you want to talk about? [He starts walking again, headed for the market. For rice!]

[ Oh, praise from Chu Wenshan...! ] Thanks.

[ It's a shy, humbled thanks. Gorgug is proud of his inventions, even if...he didn't really get that up close to Chu Wenshan, right? But he can still be happy! He'll have to work even harder to electrocute the guy in the future in thanks.

But for now: walking! ]

I wanna make some profiles on people I know. [ A pause, and... ] I'll tell the truth, that I want to give it to that woman. Tatianna?

[ Do you know who that is, Chu Wenshan.... ]

She asked us for gossip?

[ Nodding! ] It's her network name, too. That's what she's going by.

[ She sent everyone a voice message, Chu Wenshan! If you ever bothered to check those.... ]

[To be fair, he has trouble understanding what she's talking about ever, so he tends to tune her out.....anyway, he nods as well.]

So you're going to give her our information?

[This isn't said in a judging tone or anything. Though maybe that's hard to tell with Chu Wenshan?]

Just what you want to give her. You can lie, too. She said she would tell us more about what's going on if we told her about everyone, but-- I'm not gonna sell people out without their permission. And they can sell themselves out.

[ But, Gorgug looks at Chu Wenshan. ]

[Oh...well that's very thoughtful of Gorgug. Maybe he should say that compliment out loud?]

I'm bad at lying.

[Followed by a short pause as they approach the store.] Do you want to show your profile? I can tell you about me regardless.

[ Gorgug doesn't go in first since it's Chu Wenshan that's going to the store. So he stops when Chu Wenshan stops. ]

I don't care about telling you mine. My friends wanted me to have a fake one. [ And even wrote it.. because he's bad at lying, too. ] But I'm kind of curious what you would tell someone who wants to know about us. Without hearing mine, first.

[ What would a guy like Chu Wenshan come up with? ]

[About himself, huh...Chu Wenshan turns his gaze upwards as he thinks.]

I'm a martial artist, currently in my twenties, no longer wandering. I'm good at physical labor. [uhhh] ...I...have relatives?

[ Whoa. He would comment on the overall profile, but that last part.... ]

I haven't visited my parents in a while, but my brother's here with me.

Oh, you meant here? That's noteworthy.

[ As much as anything else. Gorgug nods. ]

That's the same as what I put for my profile. Under twenty, I go to an adventuring school, and I'm studying two skill classes and I used to be in a band.
